They collectively have participated in over $5 billion of mergers and acquisition and completed more than $2.5 billion of development projects including seniors housing communities, master planned communities, single and multi-family residential, commercial properties and marinas. Fortress has completed seven seniors housing communities with approximately 1,200 units.

Michael S. Faulkner

Mr. Faulkner is a CPA and has over 35 years of senior financial, operating and development experience with companies such as MedPartners (now CareMark CVS), Rivien Health, Fortress Ventures and The Overton Group. He has completed development projects and mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare and seniors housing sectors exceeding $5 billion. Mr. Faulkner has extensive experience in venture capital and private-equity transactions, contract negotiations, structuring of transactions, SEC filings, and integrating acquisitions to achieve the highest level of profitability. He has founded and led several development companies and has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for several organizations in the real estate and healthcare fields. Mr. Faulkner was a Senior Manager at KPMG, where he worked for nine years.
Mr. Faulkner earned his Bachelor of Professional Accountancy from Mississippi State University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mark L. Marlow, Executive Managing Member and Chief Real Estate Officer
Mr. Marlow has over 35 years of real estate development and building experience. Mr. Marlow previously served as Senior Vice President for The Drummond Company, Inc.’s Real Estate Development Division and was a founder of Fortress Ventures, a leader in senior housing development. While at Drummond, Mr. Marlow was responsible for the development of Rancho La Quinta, a 700 acre luxurious golf course community located in La Quinta, California that is home to the PGAs Qualifying School; the upscale community of Tower Lake in Orlando, Florida; Grasslands Golf & Country Club in Lakeland Florida, the premier 1,500- acre golf course community of Oakbridge in Lakeland, Florida; and Liberty Park, a 4,000 acre master-planned community in Birmingham, Alabama featuring Old Overton Golf and Country Club. Mr. Marlow has developed over 1,100 seniors housing units and 1,200 single-family homes.
Mr. Marlow earned a Bachelor of Finance from the University of Alabama. He is a Certified Building Contractor and Real Estate Broker in Florida and a Certified Residential Contractor and Real Estate Broker in Alabama. Mr. Marlow is a member of the National Association of Homebuilders and the National Association of Realtors.
